Where can I begin, Kev is such an amazing teacher, not only was every lesson very educational they were also great fun. I learnt in 30 hours and enjoyed every hour due to the fact that Kev realised the way I learn is through humour and sarcasm and so thats how he taught me. Although I failed my first time round I am in a sense glad, because I came across events I had never experienced before and after a crazy cyclist, an abulance and a 3-lorry-long fairground truck all whilst on my tests I feel as though I am ready for anything. Thank you very much Kev for helping me pass but also making me smile throughout.

Kev is a very good instructor, he is able to help with nervous pupils like me. Kev is good at findind at your weak points and and focusing more on them than wasting to much time on everything else. I think Kev & LDC are reasonably priced and would recommend kev to anyone that asked.

Kev is a fantastic instructor. He knows when to push his students and when to sit back and let things sink in. Kev's ability to relate situations to aspects of individuals lives is a real talent that one can only achieve through a natural interest in people. Kev makes the lessons fun and interactive, challenging his students when the time comes. Kev's encouragement can sometimes be a little 'rough' but it's always what you need! I was really nervous before I started to learn to drive and was a bit sceptical of all the positive reviews on his website, but now I understand.
I passed my driving test first time after 27hrs and spent less than half the money two of my sisters spent on learning! I learnt in just 6 weeks and come test day, felt relaxed and ready to go. The extra 2 hours I had left, Kev carried over and took me out on the motorway after my test. Kev is great and worth the money.

I took out 20 hours of lessons with the "client centred learning" programme. I found the lessons with Kev Thompson helpful and much more productive as you can relax and not feel stupid with him. The DVD and Workbook were great, they explained definitively what to do and give you an idea before you were even taught it in the car. This helped make learning much quicker. Definitely a programme you should use and will be driving in no time.

I passed my test 1st time with 3 minors from just 9.5 hours of lessons thanks to Kev's lesson structure, sense of humour and the 'Client Centered Learning' technique that is used. This is where Kev will ask you questions about what you did wrong so you remember better, also each lesson is structured around you, not a programme of set lessons. This means that you learn more in each lesson as well as significantly reducing number of lessons needed (and saving your money!) I would definitley recommend Kev to anyone.

Kev is a genuine great driving instructor and i would highly recommend him to anyone out there learning to drive. He makes you feel so comfortable as soon as you meet him for the first time and its gets better and better as it goes along. One thing that i was worried about when i wanted to drive was if i made mistakes that i might of got shouted at, but with kev he has a laugh with you and then goes through what you did wrong and then you do it again and you will be able to do it. Also he's just a really nice person to talk about in general so you dont have to dedicate all your talking in lessons about driving which makes lessons so much better and i think it builds your confidence in driving so much more as there is less pressure on you. I never thought i would pass my test first time either and i passed first time with three minors and for me i think thats impressive. He is a top class instructor!

I’d previously taken lessons for a year with another instructor and didn’t get off to the best start; I was very anxious and apprehensive about driving in general. I decided to go with Kev after hearing about his high success rate from a lot of my friends. As soon as I started with Kev my confidence grew and driving became a lot easier. He is a very positive and funny person to be around which made me feel relaxed and put my nerves at ease. I passed first time after 18 hours of driving with Kev. I had tried learning to drive before, and I lost all confidence, and when I started driving with Kev, he had a very laid back style and was really clear on what was expected, this made it so much easier for me, and I found myself at ease with him. He never over complicated any of the maneouvers! At the end of each lesson I knew what I had learnt that lesson, what I was going to be doing the next lesson and with the DVD’s and the handbook I found it easy to have a look and prepare myself.
I would suggest Kev as a driving instructor to anyone, he passed a lot of my friends and taught and passed my sister when she learnt to drive, and everyone has said how easy he is to get along with. I took lessons many years ago and found my anxieties and low confidence in driving seemed to get worse so I gave up on the idea.
That changed when one day a friend recommended him to me as she new I was a anxious person and that I had dyslexia. I decided to give it a second go. I'm so glad I made that decision to learn with Kev as he quickly identified my weaknesses and gave me very effective tips and advice which produced immediate improvements in my confidence and driving ability!

Thanks to Kev I passed my driving test first time, I was a very nervous driver to begin with but he was patient with me and gave me the confidence I needed to pass. I started taking lessons with Kev after I was recommended by a friend at college who had originally taken lessons with him. I couldn't have made a better decision! Kev's great sense of humour always made the lessons fun and if I didn't understand anything or do something right he would never get annoyed; instead he was always calm and we would laugh about the mistake and then he would explain in the right level of detail so I understood it or did it correctly next time round. I was only in the UK for two week to learn to drive and pass my test. I was very nervous about this as I had tried and failed to pass my test 4 years previously. All my nerves would put to rest the minute I met Kev and started my lessons. The books and DVDs are brilliant learning tools, speeding up the learning process and giving you more time outside the car to absorb and go over everything you've learnt during your lessons.
Kev knows what to say to help you stay focused and at ease while driving. Kev doesn't just teach you what you need to pass your test, he teaches you the skills you need to become a good, confident driver. I wouldn't have passed first time without Kev's teaching skills.

Before taking lessons with Kev I had absolutely no idea how to drive a car and now after three tests i passed and now am a confident driver and feel comfortable in a car (Which I thought would never happen! Especially as I’m a very nervous driver!) I initially went with Kev for lessons because everyone who was in my sixth form highly recommended him as well as some of my close friends and this was definitely the right decision! From my first lesson I felt comfortable in the car with Kev, knowing he would guide me through everything and whenever I panicked or did something wrong he would be supportive and tell me where I was going wrong and how I could improve and set targets. He was never late for any of my lessons and was flexible with me when I could have my lessons which was great! Also the learning resources were great as well and allowed me to go over everything we covered in the lessons. Kev always made lessons enjoyable and he has a great sense of humour which makes the lessons a more pleasant experience but also helped me learn and remember things :) I would recommend him to anyone as he improved my confidence massively and without him I don’t think I would have passed! Having given up on driving lessons 10 years ago I decided time to restart them. I booked to train with Kev due to his glowing testamonials on his website. My first lesson was an assessment to decide the best course of action, we decided (with no pressure or overselling from Kev) to completea semi intensive course. Kev was highly recommended to me by a friend and I am very thankful I took her advice! After driving in States for 10 years it was very frustrating to not have the freedom I was once so used to. However I had never driven a manual and driving in the U.K. was incredibly intimidating to me. I was comfortable with Kev right from the start and he quickly spotted my problem areas. I was very under confident when i started learning, but Kev gave me the confidence that helped me pass my test. His enthusiastic attitude and good teaching skills helped me to go on to pass my test second time with 1 minor! I never came back from a lesson thinking I haven't learnt anything today that was rubbish; I came back thinking I can't wait for my next lesson. I passed with Kev with 2 minors and the main factor for this was having Kev was my instructor. It took me just over 30 hours to be ready for test. Kev was a brilliant instructor he was calm and reassuring through the whole experience. I enjoyed every lesson with Kev and never felt nervous due to his calm manor of teaching. He also made me believe in my own ability and that I was perfectly capable of doing everything required of me. Before taking lessons with Kev, I was taking lessons from another company. My last Driving Instructor had me taking lessons for almost a year before he put me in for my test, And i failed, As a result of me failing, my last driving instructor screamed and shouted at me an it ended with me to tears. So i decided to quit.
Couple of months later i was told by Friends to give Kevin a ring. I was very nervous and didnt know what to expect. I'm glad i took my friends advice and phoned. I couldn't have wished or asked for a better Driving Instructor. He's calm, Patienent, And he really did make me feel at ease. When I first started driving with Kev, I was incredibly nervous. I’d had lessons on and off for the last nine years, and Kev was my fourth instructor. He quickly made me feel at ease, and after a couple of lessons I actually found myself looking forward to driving (something I never thought I’d do!) Even on the odd occasion when things went wrong, I don’t remember Kev ever raising his voice or even looking worried, which was incredibly reassuring! I passed my test first time, and I genuinely think that is down to Kev.

Kev reassured me that everyone feels this way in the beginning and then at the end of every lesson I left wanting the next week to come quicker! He made driving fun and and I felt very relaxed with him. He was funny and when I made mistakes he calmly explained to me how I could improve my driving. Each lesson he would push me to get better and kept track of the things I found difficult so we could practise them.

I was so nervous however Kev has tailored a be-spoke programme just for me to overcome my nerve and control the situation myself. Believe me it worked. It may well be true that I was the most nervous person that anyone could try and teach to drive, however after my first lesson those nerves instantly went. Kev was so supportive and reassuring whenever I made a mistake and would explain to me how to correct it next time. I've just passed my driving test first time, with 4 minors, and would like to say a massive thanks to Kev! As I was travelling a lot the only way I could practice was in blocks which were fairly spaced apart so it was crucial for me that I tried to catch on as quick as possible, and with the help of Kev I was able to do that! He was very calm even when I was not and the great thing about the lessons was that I was driving from the first lesson onwards and he wasn't afraid to let me try everything and do it myself. This helped my confidence improve rapidly and gave me a much better road sense. More importantly he always had faith in my ability and helped me believe I was good myself! Also he was very easy to get along with and I enjoyed my time learning! With the LDC system, I found it easy to learn as well as it gives you a step by step approach which is very clear to understand. With the help of the books and DVD's they provide it also makes it easy to learn anywhere so I was able to take my DVD away with me and still learn when travelling.
I would happily recommend Kev to anyone that wanted to learn as not only is he a great driving instructor but also a really great guy who makes the lessons enjoyable! I just passed my driving test with 2 minors. It took me 28 hours to get to my test. And I passed because of Kev. He is a very calm, and amusing instructor. I was a beginner and driving was new to me. Kev made me feel calm in the car, and we went at my pace which was really good. His instructions were also clear so you didn't panic when you came to a junction. The DVD's and books are also very useful, they helped me progress my skills further, and prepared me for the next lesson. The LDC system is brilliant as it goes step by step at your own pace. The LDC system of learning is very good, as your lessons take a step by step approach, so you’re not thrown in at the deep end straight away. Various books and dvds were also available to aid my driving theory and understanding.

When I first started to drive I was really nervous and wasn't very confident. Kev is a great driving instructor as he helped me tackle my nerves and steadily my confidence grew. Driving lessons were great fun with Kev as he makes you laugh and even when you do things wrong he doesn't make you feel stupid. Kev is a great driving instructor thanks to him I passed my driving test first time around with only 3 minor faults, the DVD’s and books that are used, have a great deal of information in them and help you out a lot on both your theory and driving test. Kev will help you with anything you can’t quite get the hang of and will work with you until you are happy with it, if you have any questions that need answering he will also help you out. He is an excellent teacher and makes the lessons a fun experience. I was not quite sure of how many hours I would need but was given enough to pass .I thought that I had enough hours of driving and learnt everything in the perfect order and in time for my test. Kev gave me a lot of confidence when I was driving because at the start I was not very confident with my driving but Kev helped me with that and I am a lot more confident and happy when driving. I would recommend kev to anyone who wishes to take lessons with Kev whilst having a laugh at the same time. I cannot thank Kev enough with all the help he has given me.

Kev is a really great driving instructor and I am really glad I followed my friends recommendation to learn with him. Not only is he always on time and very reliable, he puts you at ease when driving and makes everything fun! I really lacked confidence when I first started out, with the words 'I don't like' being my most used phrase! But Kev was happy to go over anything I wanted to practise and taught me simple ways of learning to do things, and my confidence grew huge amounts after every lesson. Every time I made a mistake Kev would explain it all to me, and let me learn from my own mistakes, and am now totally confident in my ability and love driving. Kev was my 2nd driving instructor after taking a couple of years out from learning. He made me feel comfortable with driving again straight away and there was never any panicking or belittling when I made mistakes. He told me where I was going wrong without being patronising, allowing me to correct my errors myself. Every lesson was a good lesson with Kev because we did a lot of driving; we never wasted time sitting on the side of the road discussing what we were going to do. He gave me as many lessons as I needed; no more or less. It wasn't about money to him; it was all about making you into a good driver. I passed my driving test, thanks to Kev Thomson. I started off as a very nervous driver and I didn’t have a clue about driving a car. However thanks to his calm and encouraging manner, he made me feel comfortable and I soon developed into a very confident driver. He always turns up to lessons on time and will never let you down. He is very honest and only teaches you what you need to be taught, never taking you for a ride and keeping you on his books longer than you need to be there. Although it took me a while to eventually pass my test because of nerves, Kev always made me feel confident and assured me there was nothing wrong with my driving, giving me the confidence to keep on trying. Kev is an extremely good teacher with whom you can feel completely comfortable, he will always outline your mistakes while assuring you that they are easy to correct and he has a system of showing you how much you have achieved during the time you have been learning with him, massively boosting morale if you’re having a bad day. Kev is a great driving instructor, he always pushed me to do the best I could, I had such a fun time learning to drive with him. Kev Thomson is an amazing instructor! After no confidence with my previous instructor this man helped restore it! His lessons were relaxed, he never panicked at anything and he always explained where I went wrong. He never makes you feel small about yourself and your abilities. He shows you how much more you can do without you realising it. Roundabouts were my weak point, but after talking me through it I was more confident. His fabulous attitude certainly makes you feel relaxed. Kev helped me conquer my weaknesses, realise my full potential and restore my faith in myself and for that i will always be thankful :). He has a fabulous sense of humour and the lessons are simply great.

I opted for the week intensive course and thoroughly enjoyed it. The course itself was straight forward and was accompanied with DVDs and a book that i found helped me out before I even started driving with Kev. After searching through the Internet for my local driving instructors that actually sold the week intensive course and, to be honest, not liking the look of them, I met up with Kev and his personality and teaching methods suited me perfectly. I progressed through the course faster than i thought i could thanks to Kev's patience and skill. I found driving with Kev relaxing and exciting.

Kev was suggested to me originally by a friend, I cant thank my friend enough for the recommendation. Kev is a great instructor, I felt comfortable in the car learning to drive and the weaker parts of my driving we practised over and over until I got them right. By the time I got to my test I was driving independently and felt confident for my test, I passed first time which felt amazing, without Kev it wouldn’t have been so enjoyable!
The LDC system was really helpful right from the start. The revision material provided for my theory test helped me to pass my theory test first time which got me off to a great start! The LDC system combined with Kev as an instructor are what got me to passing my test first time with 4minors at just over 20hours of driving, I would recommend LDC and Kev to anyone looking to start driving!

I was probably the worst driver Kev had ever seen, I panicked and had a phobia of roundabouts which isn't to good when Swindon has one every mile or less! The best thing about my lessons were if I wanted to practice a certain thing I would do it over and over again until I was confident and their were no complaints:) my confidence increased and I can't believe I've managed to pass my test; looking back on how I was its amazing, and its all down to the right instructor! Kev was suggested to me by a friend after I had experienced some difficulties with my Instructor, and I never looked back. Kev is a top bloke an he has a great ability to make you relax immediately, and he never makes you feel pressured.
The 'Vauxhall Corsa' that Kev uses is really easy to drive, and not too big either, so its not too intimidating. All the controls are simple and straight forward, so you can pick them up quickly, without too much fumbling!!
I found that because of the techniques that Kev uses to teach, It makes it easy to retain what you are being taught! He doesn't just teach you what you need to pass your test, he teaches you the skills you need to become a CONFIDENT and GOOD driver. Also Kev provides a book and a DVD, which details each lesson, I found them really useful to help me prepare for my next lesson.
Immediately after my first lesson with kev, i was much more confident behind the wheel. Kev puts trust in you, and lets you learn at a pace you are comfortable with. I stopped dreading my lessons like I had been with my previous instructor, and in fact, I began to really enjoy them, and look forward to them. After every lesson I was always left feeling positive!!
Kev always made a massive effort to accomadate all the lessons I was requesting(which was quite alot!), and he was so reliable too. I cannot praise Kev enough, he is without a doubt a 10/10 instructor.
I passed my test a week ago now, 1st TIME! and I love driving and I love feeling like a good driver! Massive Thanks Kev, keep up the good work.

I have just passed my driving test first time and I couldn't have done it without Kev.
He was consistently patient with me making the lessons fun and building my confidence without me realising it ! I found myself progressing faster than I anticipated and was ready for my practical test in what seemed like no time, despite not having a clue how to work a car when I started.

Having just passed my practical test I am writing to say a HUGE thank you to LDC and more importantly my instructor Kev Thomson.
Having had many lessons over the years (on and off but never a test) I was very keen on passing before my wife has our baby (due in May)!
I had looked at all different driving schools and after lots of research I decided LDC were the ones for me!
The LDC driving method is first class. The books and DVD's are brilliant learning tools, speeding up the learning process and giving the pupil more time to actually learn to drive rather than having everything explained ten times over! I would also say that LDC's pricing is bang on and amazing value for money, especially when compared to driving schools who offer no books or instructional DVD's.
Moving on to my instructor - I believe it's only right that when you have received excellent service you should make it known to people higher up so they can be recognised - working in customer service myself I understand how important feedback can be, especially when people are always too keen on picking out the bad but rarely taking time to comment on the good.
Kev Thomson is a true gent. From my very first lesson I was put at my ease, and as someone who is not always confident in the things I do I really felt that Kev built up my belief in myself that I can drive and I would pass.
Everyday improved on the previous and at no time was Kev overcritical of me, and when I did make mistakes Kev explained in such a way as not to hit my confidence. I would appreciate that the company director or similar be made aware of how brilliant I believe Kev to be!
Once again I am overwhelmed by the level of service I have received from LDC and Kev and would have no hesitation in recommending the company and lessons with Kev in the future.

Really pleased having passed on 8th November at my first attempt with only two minors and only two months after my 17th Birthday. I chose LDC for their sytem of tuition and there intensive course together with their competitive pricing. It was really good having Kev as he put himself out to pick me up from home and give me reassurance and the confidence to be able to drive. Kev was very understanding and calming with a great sense of humour. He never made an issue when things went wrong but was quick to praise when I did things right. As a young inexperienced female learning to drive I could not have wished for a better instructor and would recommend him to anybody.

I specifically wanted to complete my driving lessons with LDC because of the learning system they use. Having material to help you study at home in advance of the lessons was invaluable, it helps you prepare for each lesson in advance so that your actual time in the car is used practically rather than for theory. The workbooks & DVD’s are easy to understand and work with.
Kev is incredibly patient; he welcomes and encourages you to ask as many questions as you need to and he lets you learn from your own mistakes instead of just telling you that you are doing something wrong! He helped me to find my confidence and calm my nerves (even on test day) and all of my lessons were enjoyable because of Kev’s down to earth nature (he likes a good laugh too!) After each lesson I came away having learnt something new and feeling that I had made progress every time, this is down to Kev’s teaching skills and the structured lessons you get with LDC.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Kev & the LDC system to anyone looking for lessons in our local area.

Kev was quick to find and correct my faults using the Learner driving system which was really easy to understand, and a great help to me in reinforcing how to carry out the correct actions to ensure my driving was safe and making me feel confident.
Kev is very calm and knowledgeable giving the lessons; he has a good sense of humour and uses it to great effect when you are not having the best drive making you feel very relaxed.
I had 7 hours of tuition and passed my test with 3 minor faults. (And the same examiner who had previously failed me).
